Remarks & Notes
With lots of great storm lighting along the Wasatch Front, a Union Pacific Denver, CO to Salt Lake City, UT manifest charges west through Midvale about 5 miles from the end of it's 570 mile journey west from North Yard in Denver. The UP 7337 was built by GE in Sept. 1996 as the UP 7051, an AC604400 'convertible'. The plan was to upgrade the unit to a full blown 6000 HP motor one day, which never happened. Now it's distinct in it's large coolant housing area along the rear of the long hood but otherwise it's just another UP AC4400CW. Utah Railway and Savage Bingham & Garfield power lay over in the yard, awaiting a Monday morning call to duty.
