Remarks & Notes |
Soo 4418,4411 are waiting for the brake test to be completed and will soon have the 66 cars of train 910 headed to Sault Ste. Marie. Gladstone was the primary base of operation for the Soo for all of its existence in Upper Michigan. All road crew were based here operating east to Sault Ste. Marie or west to Rhinelander or Shawano. Gladstone also handled the switching of the large Mead Paper mill in North Escanaba. With the coming and goings of 4 through freights a day plus the local moves it was as happening a spot as could be found on the Soo in Michigan. |
