| UP B4315,LS&I 3008 sort empty ore cars at Escanaba ore yard. In the far background you can see some of the ore stockpile and part of the loading apparatus. The non dynamic SD40-2 must have been a bit of an oddity on the UP roster and was missing seats and refrigerator. I remember at the time how impressed the crew was to be rattling around in the smokey,drafty U-boat. |
