Remarks & Notes

Monon train #5, the southbound Thoroughbred arriving from Chicago. The photo was taken at the north end of the K&IT yard in Louisville. The train will continue on the K&IT main to K&I Junction where it will wye onto the L&N mainline for the backup move to Union Station. Editorial note: Thanks to Ron Flanary for caption assistance.
