Just after sunset, a short UP nine-car stack train is captured working through the s-cures north bound along the water at Steilacoom, WA. What a shot to end my very first day of rail fanning in the PNW. Thanks to Robert Scott, and Steve Carter for the great tour of the area!
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
