Remarks & Notes |
At the end of a foreshortened day the PCC job with only nine cars from Winona rolls through Hooper, where the striped field in the foreground has been cultivated to to match the arc of both the PCC's mainline and the nearby Palouse River. The train should have had another 50 loaded grain cars on the drawbar, but a breakdown at the Endicott elevator prevented loading the 22 cars spotted there and the terminal at Wallula declined the 28 loads that had been brought down off the PV Sub that morning. |
