Rare bird. PRR transfer engine #8730 center-cab Baldwin RT-624 at Frankford Jct., North Phila. 35 mm slide photo dates from 1965 or '66. Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton delivered 23 of these beasts to the Pennsy from 1951-54. They were an upgrade to the similarly designed Baldwin DT6-6-2000's and were among the last engines to be designed by Baldwin before the company folded in 1956.
