| On a clear day the view from Pepper St. is truly magnificent. Mt. San Gogonio in the middle, Palmdale Cutoff bridges over I-10 middle left and a train heading around the loop going to LA. The curve the locomotives are on has been eased a bit since then, I imagine to increase train speeds. Slover Mountain is in the right background being slowly eliminated by a cement plant and the edge of the GATX tank facility is in the right foreground. |
