| Remarks & Notes |
| Train 171 rolls thru the small town of Linby as they make their way north towards Davenport. Today's train is a hefty 151 cars-8700 feet. This crew went to work at 3 am in Ottumwa and spent the 1st 4.5 hours doubling this monster up to Rutledge due to tonnage. Not real common practice but if trains are to heavy for the 1.8 % grade they will double out of Ottumwa. Linby is located 17 miles northeast of Ottumwa. |
