Remarks & Notes

On Friday September 12th, 2008, UP 8485 and MetroLink 111 were involved in a head-on collision. Sadly, 25 people were killed and many more injured. This was the worst rail accident in the United States since the Big Bayou Canot train disaster in 1993. Recent storms appear to have removed her blue tarp.
