Remarks & Notes
The popular Green Mountain Flyer begins it's ten mile journey to Chester, VT. The train has just departed the station, crossed the NECR diamond and is now crossing the Bellows Falls Canal, one of the oldest canals in the US, built between 1791 and 1802 to bypass the gorge on the Connecticut River. This RS1 built in 1951 is plying the rails of the old Rutland, the last orignal RUT locomotive still in service on its former territory.

The Green Mountain state is the perfect setting for great train riding and photography, especially in the fall.
