| A New Jersey Transit Extra train to Far Hills for the annual Steeplechase. This very well could be the last year the Comet Is attend the Steeplechase as the number of active cars in the fleet continues to dwindle. Also, notice the new metal catenary pole showcasing NJT's continued effort to replace all of the wooden catenary poles on the Gladstone Branch. The cab car was originally built for the Erie Lackawanna and New Jersey Department of Transportation as EL 1523. |
