Remarks & Notes
Here's the over-the-shoulder view of the Marshfield Station complex as I climb Cold Spring Hill. In the foreground, a two-train section prepares to depart the platform for the summit. Further down the line, a spare locomotive hits the coaling tower for a load of fuel. At the very end of the line toward the top of the photo is the shop complex and train sheds where locomotives and cars are built, serviced and stored. On the left side of the photo, partially hidden by trees is the Marshfield Stationhouse itself. And oh, did I mention that the fall foliage was at peak? :o)
