On the 10 kilometres between Thun and Spiez, the line of the Lötschbergbahn gains about 70 metre with grades up to 1.7 %. Steamlocomotive Eb 3/5 with 4 cars rounds a curve near the former stop of Kumm, on the right lake of Thun.
