The Heartland Corridor project has begun on the Pokey, with work steadily progressing on Antler #2. As shown, the roof is being raised for doublestack containers soon to ply the iron of the Pokey, and lacks just a few yards of being thru to the far west portal. Gunite or shotcrete is being sprayed on the newly exposed ceiling and roofbolts, similar to what mines use, are being drilled into the ceilings. Crews are working morning shifts and stopping at noon, allowing a plethora of backed up traffic to fly by after noon.
