| 70013 Oliver Cromwell on display at the West Coast Railway Co. Open Day at their Carnforth site. This locomotive worked the last steam-hauled British Rail train back in August 1968. It has just been restored to main line standards and is now at Carnforth for some minor work followed by then main line test runs. Her big event will be in August - A re-run of that last train using the same route. The notice on the smokebox, 1T57 was the reporting number of that last train and was carried on the front on a similar notice board. |
