| With astonishing speed "modern steam" locomotive 52 8055 is leaving the 263 meter long Buckten tunnel in the 2.3 % grade ramp from Sissach to Läufelfingen with her train of about 90 tons. Engineer Roger Waller, who did the improvements and modernisation of the former german serie 52, is looking out from the cab. From the chimney of this light oil burning locomotive is coming only little steam, but no smoke. |
