Railfest 2006, a celebration of railroading put on annually by the Santa Clara River Valley Railroad Historical Society was truly special as it resulted in the first "revenue" passenger train to Piru, CA in over 56 years. The train came into the station, breaking through blue tape. The engines were then taken across the street, where Boys Club kids and other assorted civic club locals posed with the big F7As. This was once the Southern Pacific main line, but the track now ends a couple hundred yards east of where the locomotives are sitting.
