Remarks & Notes
Back then as a teenager we'd ride #13 from Newark, an early morning mail train to Pittsburgh, to railfan Altoona. A stop to switch out power at Harrisburg in the morning light enabled me to get this shot. 5681 was the house switcher here switching out the Washington connection of the Spirit of St. Louis.
