Amtrak ALC-42E Charger 70001 is seen shoving the railroad's first Airo trainset through Elizabeth, NJ during a test run from Philadelphia to Newark. This first trainset will eventually enter Cascades service in the Pacific Northwest, but was delivered to Amtrak in Philadelphia for testing on the Northeast and Keystone Corridors. Eventually seven more will be delivered for Cascades service, and seventy-five more will arrive for Northeast Corridor services. |
