| The 58 year old Bull Run Fossil Plant rests silently as CSXT 4540 leads E700-21 north along the Clinch River with 125 GALX coal empties from Plant Bowen in Stilesboro, Georgia.
The TVA announced they were going to bring the stacks down on June 28, 2025, sealing the fate of coal burning operations at Bull Run; which had summer net capability of 765 megawatts when it was retired late 2023.
