| Splitting the US&S signals at S.E. Rocky, engineer Ian Stokes is at the throttle of CSXT 4526 extra north as they climb the famed Clinchfield loops toward the Eastern Continental Divide at Altapass with Herzog’s loaded “Automated Conveyor Train”. Time will tell just how much borrowed time these Clinchfield soilders have left.
Loaded in Camak, Ga, this W096-26 has almost 4000 tons of ballast to be used in the impressive rebuild effort from Hurricane Helene. Attached is a link to Herzog’s website talking about the “ACT”: www.herzog.com/innovation/ballast-distribution-machine/
