On the evening of March 27th, 2026, Metro-North Railroad Siemens SC-42DM #301 makes its inaugural revenue run on the Danbury Branch, leading Danbury Train 1848 past the former Geoppler Cider & Vinegar Mill in Redding, Connecticut. Constructed in the early 1890's, the four-story mill was a multipurpose building that was utilized as a train station (Sanford Station) and also a post office in the early 1900s. Geoppler ceased all operations around 1940 and the mill was sold to private owners who rebuilt the structure into a residence.
