Eastbound and Down. NJ Transit 4110 (GP40PH-2) was the “heavy cab” for an NJT Train on Friday, February 28, 2020, due to a mechanical issue with the cab car. Seen here just before sunset, it has just crossed Upper Hack Lift near Secaucus, NJ, and is approaching the Secaucus Junction Station. This week, this locomotive met the scrapper's torch at the NJ Transit Meadows Maintenance Complex, making it the first and only one of the 16 EMD original-built passenger "geeps" to be scrapped.
