| Following repairs, the SBB Historic Ae 8/14 double-unit locomotive # 11801 undertook a test run from Erstfeld via the Gotthard mountain route to Ambri-Piotta in Ticino and back. Empty train 32131 pulls into Ambri-Piotta. The locomotive with Buchli drive on 8 axles was built in 1931 by SLM and BBC for the SBB and has 5514 kW. In regular service till 1975, now historic operational locomotive of "Team Erstfeld, Bahnhistorischer Verein am Gotthard". In the background from left snow covered Pizzo Lucendro (2963 meter a.s.l.) and Fibbia (2738 meter). |
