| No fooling. A loaded NS wood chip train heads north up the R Line out of Columbia, South Carolina on April Fools Day 2012. Lead by Dash 9 9664, it passes a cement mixing plant that appears to have received railcars on property years before. This train originated in Silverstreet, South Carolina on the old Columbia and Greenville Railroad. Since tis photograph was made more than ten years ago, that plant has closed and this train has been abolished. |
