Cresting the summit of southern California's Cajon Pass is Union Pacific manifest (freight) train M-WCNP01-20M, which originated at West Colton Yard in Colton (roughly 30 miles [48.25 km] from here). This train is headed for Bailey Yard in North Platte, Nebraska, and will pass through Las Vegas NV, Salt Lake City UT and Cheyenne WY en route. Powering this 162 car train (36 loads and 126 empties) are UP ET44AC 2607, SD70ACe 8463 and AC4400CW 6677 on the headend, ES44AC 7762 and AC4400CW 5859 midtrain, with Dash 9-44CW 9661 bringing up the rear. This train is nearly two miles long (9.699 feet, or 2.95 km).
