To show how snow fighting on the Bernina line was executed decades ago, the Rhaetian Railway organised the snowblower adventure trip. The about 60 participants are riding in the railcars ABe 4/4 # 46 "Goldliner" and # 47 in multiple control, pulling the snow scratch Xk # 9132. The consist is crossing the upper Ova da Bernina bridge, also called the "wild west bridge". This part of the Bernina line was built in 1934 only. Before, the line followed the Bernina pass road on the foot of Piz Lagalb. After a severe avalanche accident in 1920 with 8 victims, the line was relocated.
