| A Norrtåg X52 "Regina" two car EMU running between Sandträsk and Grensjö with service 7152 from the mining town of Kiruna to the port city of Luleå. These Regina trainsets built by Bombardier for almost all regional train operators in Sweden in two batches back in the early 2000s and early 2010s in two and three car units. The trains are capable to a top speed 200km/h and have features like a small kiosk and low floor entry on one coach. In 2006 a modified X52 number 9062 set the Swedish railways speed record by travelling at 281km/h, only for it to be broken by the same unit again in 2008 when it reached 303km/h. Later the unit was returned to service for Norrtåg with the modifications removed. |
