Remarks & Notes
MILW 552 and 550, FM H-16-66s, are paired up at St. Paul Yard where they were assigned to transfer runs and heavy switching (including occasional hump duties). MILW and CNW were the only Class 1 roads to purchase this model, and it was common in the 1960s to see both roads' units pooled together in ore service in upper Michigan. Newer power took over in the 1970s and a few of these ended up in the Twin Cities.
