The self propelled 0-6-0 + 0-6-0 "Rotary" steam snow blower X rot d # 9213, built in 1910, had been fired up in the morning and now left the depot in Pontresina after lunch for a short, successful functional test. The centrifugal wheel, with a diameter of 2.5 meters (8,2 ft), can reach up to 170 revolutions per minute.
