Bearing all the trademarks of its Southern heritage, this unit represents the "Luxury" or "Touring" or "Elite" package from EMD, two P5 horns, high hood, extra walkway lights, jumper connection etc., which the buyer specified. Evidently the high hood was cheaper than dual controls. The intended purpose of the high hood had nothing to do with collision protection.
