Remarks & Notes
The Buckingham Branch Railroad's steam track at Victoria Station was once the home of a spur and large steel furnace. A narrow gauge railroad split off of the original C&O railway and was known as the Victoria & Western. The rails stretched for 18 miles out of Goshen to supply the Victoria Furnace, which was located on the very land of the modern station platform. The furnace lasted from 1882 to 1923, when its outdated machinery was sold for scrap.
