| Remarks & Notes |
| Milwaukee Road had a small fleet of RSC-2 locomotives designed with A-1-A 3 axle trucks which housed 2 traction motors each. This permitted use on light weight branch lines including the line between Trevino and Eau Claire, WI. Four of the units were rebuilt by ALCO and renumbered 576-579. They all worked the Eau Claire branch from time to time in the early 1970s. Here No. 578 relaxes between runs in Eau Claire yard, while an SW1 assigned to Eau Claire handled most local switching. The train would depart Eau Claire and head to Winona, MN Monday through Saturday. |
