| Flying from Grand Central.
Metro-North Railroad P32AC-DM no. 219 is seen leading Hudson Line train 8729 into Philipse Manor Station on its way to Croton-Harmon. Visible at far right of the frame is the Grand Central Eagle that was installed at the station in 1911. The eagle was one of 11 that sat atop the clock towers of Grand Central Station, prior to its demolition for the construction of the current Grand Central Terminal. The 4,000-pound eagles were removed and auctioned off during the demolition process. |
