Pantograph test runs on the Thur Valley line with the Alstom TRAXX F160 MS3 188 # 011 from Akiem Leasing Company, operated by BLS Cargo. The locomotive for all four European power systems, with 6000 kW and a maximum speed of up to 160 km/h, weighs 90 tons and is to be approved in six countries: France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. The locomotive is registered with BTH in Germany (Bombardier Transportation Henningsdorf), the predecessor of Alstom (91 80 6188 011-1 D-BTH). The route between Sulgen and Romanshorn is often used for pantograph test runs, as the design of the catenary dates back to the electrification in 1928.
