What appears to be an Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway train is actually a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway train, as the BNSF was but five months old at this time, and many of the locomotives, particularly those (such as these) that would retain their ATSF numbers as BNSF locomotives, had not yet been "patched" with the new reporting mark.
So, ATSF Dash 8-40BWs 503 and 582, GP60M 104 and GP50 3843 are all working for their new owner, pulling a westbound intermodal train through Fullerton Junction to Hobart Yard just south of downtown Los Angeles.
