| Morning Lights.
Metro-North Railroad (MNR) M8 car 9231 leads the electric Holiday Lights Train around the curve at Scarborough, operating as Hudson Line train 732 to Grand Central. Aside from the fact that it's the decorated train, seeing M8 cars in service on the Harlem or Hudson Lines is uncommon, as they are typically reserved for New Haven Line service. They were chosen for the lights train as their ability to operate on overhead wire or third rail allows them to run to any electrified areas of the system. |
