New Hope Railroad (NHRR) GP39 no. 901 is seen leading the North Pole Express through the woods of New Hope as it returns to the namesake town. The unit is a recent arrival to the NHRR, formerly a work / freight locomotive for the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) FrontRunner commuter rail system in Salt Lake City, arriving here in August 2024. It was built in 1967 as Louisville & Nashville (L&N) GP40 no. 3025, and served Seaboard (no. 6821), CSX (no. 6821), and Virginia Railroad Express (GP39 no. V07) prior to UTA service.
