BNSF Office Car Special Over The Mohawk. On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Office Car Special arrived at CSX's Selkirk Yard in Selkirk, New York. This highly unusual move is to bring the train to Long Island Railroad (LIRR) to serve as the railroad's base of operations for business during the upcoming Ryder Cup PGA competition at Black Course at Bethpage State Park. The 14-car train would later be moved by CSX and Amrak to be handed off to LIRR. The train was parked while on Long Island, and did not planned to operate prior to the end of the event. The train is seen crossign the Mohawk River in Pattersonville, New York.
