Veterans In Service. On November 10, 2025, MTA Metro-North Railroad unveiled recently overhauled MNCW P32AC-DM 216 in a new veterans wrap at its North White Plains Yard. The design of the wrap includes embroidered name tapes with the names of all six branches of the United States Military on the background of a mural of military vehicles. Towards the front of the locomotive, it transitions to the stars and stripes of the flag of the United States. The locomotive is the eighth in the "Metro-North Heritage Fleet" series, honoring the 40th Anniversary of MNR's creation in 1983. The locomotive was on display at various locations throughout the system for a week, allowing people to see it up close. After entering revenue service the prior day, on the afternoon of Thursday, November 20, 2025, it made its first northbound trip on the Hudson Line on Train 833. The train is seen next to the Hudson River crossing Oscawana Island in Croton-On-Hudson, New York, en route from Grand Central Terminal to Poughkeepsie, New York, with the last remnants of seasonal color hanging on the trees.
