Remarks & Notes

This Burlington Northern Railway freight train has a healthy set of power up front: SD40-2 6803 (ex-BN 6343), SD40-2 8026, GP38-2 2362 (ex-SLSF 692), B30-7A(B) 4018, SD40-2 8176 and GP38-2 2280 (ex-SLSF 425). BN 6803 was one of a group of BN SD40-2s that were testing Locotrol on the Southern Pacific in southern California for a few years in the 1970s.
