Remarks & Notes
MTA Metro-North Railroad's Veterans Unit On The Move. On November 10, 2025, MTA Metro-North Railroad unveiled recently overhauled MNCW P32AC-DM 216 in a new veterans wrap at its North White Plains Yard. The design of the wrap includes embroidered name tapes with the names of all six branches of the United States Military on the background of a mural of military vehicles. Towards the front of the locomotive, it transitions to the stars and stripes of the flag of the United States. The locomotive is the eighth in the "Metro-North Heritage Fleet" series, honoring the 40th Anniversary of MNR's creation in 1983. The locomotive was on display for the public on November 11 & 12, 2025, in Grand Central Terminal (GCT), and is planned to be on display at various employee facilities before entering revenue service next week. The locomotive is seen here with a single cab car passing through the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, New York, on the night of November 12, 2025, moving from GCT to Stamford, Connecticut.
