The resident switcher in McVille, North Dakota shines brightly in the afternoon sunlight along the lightly-used BNSF Warwick Subdivision branch line. The appearance of the railhead gave evidence that trains have not traveled this far northwest along the railroad in some time.
As a side note, this switcher started its life as SOO 2124. It retains its number, thankfully, from its time on the Soo Line.
