On August 27, 2025 Amtrak ran an excursion for the media and political dignitaries to tout the launch the following day of NextGen Acela service. Trainset #11 operated as train 880(27), seen here rolling through Wilmington, Delaware on track 2. Double-ended Northeast Regional train 185(27) is stopped on track 3 doing station work.
