Remarks & Notes |
Recently, SBB's Re 420 # 253 (Re 4/4 II # 11253) was given the inscription “Last locomotive with RT12 at SBB Cargo” on both sides. RT12 is the name of the Hasler speedometer with registration on a light blue paper strip and its characteristic ticking sound. This speedometer, which is used worldwide, has been in production since 1935. Other Re 420 locomotives from SBB Cargo either have an ETCS screen with a speed display or a Hasler display across the driver's console with a “tape display.” The locomotive is running through Killwangen-Spreitenbach with freight train 62165 from Hägendorf to the Limmattal shunting yard. The Re 420 # 253 was built in 1973. |
