Parting Shot. It was 15 years ago today that the evening summer light hit perfectly on Canadian Pacific 5690 (SD40-2) while it led Train 417 through the MTA Metro-North Railroad Station at Riverdale in the Bronx, New York, on Friday, July 30, 2010. At that time, this CP train would originate in Oak Point Yard in the Bronx, New York, and travel up the Oak Point Link and onto the Hudson Line. The once tri-weekly service had been reduced to Friday only by this time, and even the once-a-week runs would end shortly after, leaving CSX as the sole freight operator on this east of Hudson line.
