With the Tehachapi Mountains as a backdrop, BNSF Railway Loaded Grain Train G-REDGUC9-06, crossing the Mojave Desert on its way from Red Oak, Iowa, to Guernsey, in California's agricultural San Joaquin Valley. UP front are BNSF Dash 9-44CWs 4638, 978 and 4522 plus Norfolk Southern Dash 8-40CW 8451, midtrain Distributed Power Units BNSF Dash 9-44CW 4101, NS Dash 9-40CW 9595 and BNSF Dash 9-44CW 1052 and, on the rear, DPUs BNSF 5431 and CSXT SD70MAC 772. As this train heads for the town of Tehachapi, it is passing under the (now gone) signal bridge just north of Mojave, and CSXT 772 has since been renumbered CSXT 4572.
