Remarks & Notes |
First And Newest Heritage Meet. On the evening of Wednesday, July 23, 2025, all four of the MTA Metro-North Railroad Grand Central Terminal to Danbury trains were led by heritage units. This allows for a number of passing meets just outside of the former Danbury Union Station that is today the Danbury Railway Museum. MNR Train 1848 MNCW 208 ('Beachball'/40th Ann) had arrived earlier and was parked in its usual spot as MNR Train 1860 MNCW 217 (NYS-Penn Central/40th Ann) passed. These paint schemes represent adjoining eras of MTA control of the commuter railroads, and respectively the first and most recent designs in the railroad's Heritage Unit Program.
