A pair of NS horses rest for the evening on the north leg of the DCR Indian River Secondary Wye. As I was taking the picture along came zooming around the bend a motorized cart filled with children having fun on a summer's day. In 2016, Norfolk Southern selected Carload Express (Delmarva Central Railroad) to lease and operate its Delmarva Peninsula trackage, which includes this Indian River Secondary that runs from Harrington, down through Dagsboro and to Frankford, DE. Typically you would anticipate spotting DCR locomotives down this way in southern DE, so it was somewhat unexpected to see these NS locomotives.
